Scale ModelWorld Update – 26 October 2021

8.09.2021:
We have heard that the UK government requires a COVID-19 test before travelling to the UK and another once in the UK.
Also it has been pointed out that the UK government requires that both vaccinations are from the same manufacturer.
One may not have one vaccine from one manufacturer and the second from a different manufacturer. Having different vaccines means (to the UK) that you are not fully vaccinated and there would be a 10 day quarantine period.
This may grossly impact your travel plans, if you intend on attending Scale ModelWorld 2021.
Please check for the latest guidance as it changes all of the time.
Please check the UK website about travel before you embark to the UK. We would hate for anyone to be caught up in this mess.

To be more specific: the test in the UK has to be within 2 days of arrival (day 0 being the day yoyu enter the UK) and when you enter you must show proof of the appointment: date and location where you will be taking that test. As far as I can tell this applies to everyone from Amber and Green countries, and fully vaccinated people as well. The pre-travel test must be no more than 10 days old. If you are from a Green country the pre-travel test can be only 3 days old and you must take a test within 2 days.
